Can green card holders volunteer for political campaigns?

By admin ~ December 1st, 2011 @ 2:48 pm
I read somewhere that “Green card holders can make political campaign contributions in connection with state and federal elections. Other foreign nationals can’t”. I want to know whether the contribution is strictly restricted to monetary contribution, or apply to volunteer work as well. Thank you very much!

I have a green card and am a volunteer for my local party. I may not be allowed to vote but I am allowed to encourage those who can vote to get out and use theirs.
