Shouldnt we all just focus on the issues instead of whether a leader is charismatic?

Yes we definitely should, but the majority of Americans arent intelligent enough to research or care about politics. This is why we end up with horrible, lame-duck presidents that we eventually complain about. I’m sorry, but its true.

Personal character tells a lot about a person. To whom much is given, much is expected. If you are given as much power as the President of The United States is given, we should expect that person to have some personal character.

Personality should not have the impact that it does, but character should play a major role. Their character is based on their core values, and if they have corrupt values, then it is a bad thing.

Actually, I wish character WOULD play more of a role than charisma. If so, Obama would not be where he is. He has no character and is morally bankrupt, but hey, he speaks well…when in front of a teleprompter.
