Do you like politics because of sharing of opinions or do you truly want others to believe what you think?

By admin ~ April 21st, 2010 @ 8:37 pm
I think for me, just reading what others have to say makes me want to think more about the issues. There are a couple of people here who like to stroke their own egos by putting others don’t and I don’t see the point in that.

I think most people share their opinions on politics just to try to impress others with how large their knowledge is. Yes, yes, some people are pathetic.

I want others to believe what I think.

But I don’t believe what I think because I want to or its easy.

I believe what I think cause I believe its right.

If someone can convince me otherwise, I’ll change my mind.

BUT…I don’t expect others to think the way I do because I say so, I try to present a logical argument.

That is the only thing that bothers me about YA. I don’t mind the bickering and name calling so much…it keeps things interesting.

But most people either don’t make a logical argument, or write a freakin’ essay with 5 Youtube links (that I’m not gonna watch), and no paragraph structure, and expect me to find the argument buried in it.

  11. moms thoughts

I’m trying to fight republican stereotypes that are constantly repeated in the main stream media.
I just hope to get the message out that the things they say about conservatives and republicans are completely opposite of the truth.
They say republicans are racists. Our first president was Abraham Lincoln. The Republican party was formed because of the dispute about slavery. Democrats in the South fought against Civil Rights.
The first black congressmen were Republicans.
Republican don’t care about anyone but the rich.
Republicans know that big business creates jobs for lots of people that also increases a lot of tax revenue for the government.
Increased taxes causes companies to cut employment, and cut service, which decreases customer satisfaction, which decreases customers, which causes companies to cut costs even further and provide less than adequate service that drops demand even further.
We are fighting for every American. We want them to be prosperous, regardless of skin color, sex, or sexual orientation.
When America succeeds, we all profit.
