when people realised many people would vote for someone just beacuse they are in that party.

the party system should be abandonded beacuse it would force people to examine the candidates.

Because there were two ways that the Constitution could be interpreted. Folks like Alexander Hamilton had a “loose” way of interpreting it. In other words, just because the Constitution does not say you can do it, does not mean you can’t.

People like Thomas Jefferson had a strict view on the Constitution. He believed that if the Constitution did not say you couldn’t, it still didn’t mean you could. Although he did seem to lighten up a little as the years went by.

In a way, both ways, loose and strict, were correct. The Constitution MUST be viewed differently in order to get a decent kind of compromise. But a constant argument must go on. That is what politics is all about. it wouldn’t work if everyone had the same views on it all.
